Keith Aspinall

Keith is a Manchester born retired civil engineer who has been painting aviation subjects for the past twenty years. He is entirely self taught and his style is characterised by precise detail and technical accuracy which he feels is a result of his engineering training. After retiring from full time employment with Kent County Council Keith moved to Lincolnshire in April 1998 in the hope of finding a wider market for his work, and the move has proved to be successful.

He is an Associate Member of the Guild of Aviation Artists and regularly exhibits work at the Guilds Annual Open Exhibition in London. In addition he has completed over a hundred commissions for private clients in England and abroad including RAF and American Eighth Air Force associations. Many of his painting are currently in print and his work is on the covers of a number of books recently published in France, the United States and the UK.

Keith Woodcock

As a professional artist for 20 years, Keith Woodcock has earned an enviable reputation for his atmospheric portrayals of aircraft.
His early work concentrated on magazine illustrations and book covers, and although he still undertakes this work from time to time, the vast majority of his current paintings are now specially commissioned by Service Organisations and private or corporate clients Worldwide. His paintings now hang in permanent collections in the USA, Canada, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, Denmark and the UK.

When he is not painting professionally, Keith finds relaxation in portrait painting and figure drawing. He also enjoys walking on the moors and is a keen motor racing enthusiast. Keith is a former Chairman of the Guild of Aviation Artists, he also gives illustration lectures, critiques and workshops, not only on his speciality subjects, but on art in general.

Timothy O Brien

Tim O Brien was born in Nottingham in 1970 and since childhood has pursued a passion for art. After working in several commercial art studios, he became a full time freelance artist and illustrator at the age of 22.

A former Air Training Corps cadet with 1936 (Newton) Squadron, Tim has flown as a passenger in a range of aircraft including the Tiger Moth, Chipmunk, Junkers Ju 52, Hercules, HS 125 and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flights Lancaster and Dakota gathering first hand knowledge for his detailed paintings, and is now accepted as one of the youngest full members of the Guild of Aviation Artists. Tims work can be seen on prints published by the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association and in occasional magazine articles for Aeroplane Monthly and the re-launched Wingspan.

Iain Wyllie

Having been trained in Naval Architecture and having a strong interest in sailing ships, Iains first subjects were the famous clipper ships and beautiful seascapes. His first efforts at aircraft painting were produced for painting competitions when he was a member of the Royal Observer Corps. Amongst his collection he still has a painting of a Gloster Javelin which won him the first of many competitions back in the 1960s.

During the 1970s Iain perfected the art of airbrush painting and as a result became more and more recognised as on of the UKs finest artists, Which finally led Iain into becoming a full time aviation airbrush artist producing over 80 cover paintings for the famous Osprey series of aviation books, as well as many private commissions.

Marii Chernev

Marii Chernev, although born and trained in Bulgaria, now lives and paints at his home in the United States.
